October 28 2010 - openMIC, the UK's leading independent mobile developer network, is coming to Brighton to hold its next un-conference at The Grand Hotel on Thursday November 4th
.
“Over 100 mobile developers from across the UK are expected to converge on Brighton for this showdown debate between native apps and the mobile web,” said Chris Book who heads-up the openMIC network. “Mobile is the fastest evolving device on Earth - the iPhone has created a platform specific market while mobile operators are trying to demolish their walled gardens to open their networks to off portal commerce. OpenMIC is the place to come and explore the business potential of these developments.”

The free to attend, one-day event will kick off with presentations by Tom Hume Managing Director of Future Platforms, Stuart Scott, CEO of Intohand, Mike Ormond, Developer Outreach with Microsoft and Emily Toop, Owner of Radical Robot, followed by a developers panel.

During the afternoon, barcamp sessions will allow the discussion to flow freely and continue with smaller groups.

Delegate places are free of charge for developers – register: www.open-mic.org.uk
