The Technology in Sport dedicated zone at the UKTI's Technology World in partnership with UK NanoForum event brings together companies that are recognised as leading the way in delivering next-generation technology, which will change the face of future sporting events.

November 9th 2010 - Some £118 million of potential business transactions are expected to be generated at the Technology World in partnership with UK NanoForum event at London ExCeL this December (7-8th). The event – hosted by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) – delivers three conference programmes, 60 top-line speakers and gives organisations direct access to hundreds of potential investors from more than 38 countries.

The show themes of Emerging & Nano Technologies, Energy & Environment and Digital Connected World include conference sessions on Cloud Computing; Smart Energy - Smart Living; eHealth& Assisted Living; Machine to Machine; Gaming and the Digital Olympics with high profile industry speakers.

Conference Session
Through a keynote speech and discussion-based panel with industry experts, this session will put the Olympic Games under the technology spotlight, assessing the impact of digital media and answering questions such as: Was Beijing 2008 the first digital Olympics? How did Vancouver 2010 build on this and what will London 2012 and beyond do to maximise digital technologies?
How important is social media to Olympic organising committees as part of their activities and can we expect to see more mobile technology utilised at London 2012 and beyond? Technology World in partnership with UK NanoForum 2010
For 2010 the UKTI has brought together two previously successful events, Technology World and UK Nano & Emerging Technologies Forum, to create one major two-day event that showcases the best of UK science and technology to an international audience. Last year the two events jointly attracted over 1700 visitors, facilitated more than 3,000 meetings between UK and overseas companies, and generated an estimated £118 million of potential business transactions. This year, the event will be held at the impressive ExCeL Convention Centre in London.
