Odisha has a tremendous opportunity for the development of IT, Science and Technology, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, the state minister for IT and Science and Technology said.
While welcoming the entrepreneurs on the second day of Invest Bhubaneswar Conference, Ramesh Chandra Majhi said that there is lot of scope for the young entrepreneurs to grow in Odisha as it is a developing state.
Some of the successful Odia entrepreneurs narrated their success stories to the young gathering. Achyut Samant, the founder of KITT and KISS said that he lost his father in his childhood. He was not getting two times meal properly. He has started that KITT was started in a small one room in Bhubaneswar with a nominal investment. Now, both KITT and and KISS have their own buildings and campuses. A large number of the tribal students are studying in KISS and they are excelling globally. “I have achieved this only through hard work and God’s grace”, he said.
He said that visibility and credibility is important in any business. Another important thing is honesty and transparency.
Another entrepreneur Sarat Kumar Sahoo, CMD, Ruchi Masala said he has started the food processing business in the late 70’s with a small investment of Rs 10,000. He was preparing masala along with other three people including his father. “Now, I have expanded my business and several hundreds are working in the masala business. This has happened only through hard work”, he said.
Similarly, Manoj Agarwal, managing director, Adhunik Group and Nihar Samantray, CEO, Ignis Technologies also narrated their success stories to the gathering.
