The Jordan Computer Society (JCS) Gives a new look to the Middle East Technology Show METS 2011

Amman, March 10th, 2011 - The Jordan Computer Society (JCS) held a Press conference to announce the preparation to host the Middle East Technology Show (METS) 2011 in its new identity. METS 2011 will be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hassan, President of Al-Hassan Scientific City and the Royal Scientific Society on June 15th through June 20th at the Business Park.

Amman, March 10th, 2011 - The Jordan Computer Society (JCS) held a Press conference to announce the preparation to host the Middle East Technology Show (METS) 2011 in its new identity. METS 2011 will be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hassan, President of Al-Hassan Scientific City and the Royal Scientific Society on June 15th through June 20th at the Business Park.

METS is the only Information and Technology (ICT) trade show in Jordan and a prominent industry show in the region that serves as an annual meeting venue for high-level firms and experts in the industry. In its 21st edition, METS 2011 has been recreated with a new look, a new perspective, and a new identity and promises to be one of the Region’s largest and most extensive ICT trade show.

This year, METS will include new sections presented by key industry players and prominent IT companies that cover diverse technology domains, such as banking technology, medicine technology, education technology, telecommunication technology, multimedia, mobile phones devices, protection, e-government, and games, along with software, programming solutions, electronic devices, and computers. Our exhibitors and presenters will showcase the latest information technology and communications systems, IT products and accessories.

Elaborating on METS 2011 and its underlying connotations, Mr. Shwaihat, Chairman of Jordan Computer Society said: “The Exhibition will provide, with this year’s modern edition, a window for effective communication between all parties concerned; starting from international and regional companies, local companies and institutions, to the various streams of the Jordanian business sector, and ultimately the end-user. Specialized companies in the sector from Jordan, and the Region are expected to participate in this annual event that aims at keeping abreast with the accelerating changes in the sector and discussing the latest emerging innovations; making certain the Regions in alignment with the strategic directions of the global ICT industry”

Due to the importance and value of METS 2011, interest in participating in the trade show has already been expressed, with Microsoft having quickly confirmed its attendance as a Strategic Partner for the event.
