Chimica Robinson of Ink Bean.org has recently completed The Warmth Project goal. This young business owner of the web based non-profit company has recently completed 50 premature blankets to give just in time for Christmas.
“I love making blankets and I love helping people. The Warmth Project allowed me to help mothers and fathers of premature babies the best way I know how. Crocheting has always been a passion for me and I love to share my passion with those that could use a little extra love.”
Each blanket was made by hand using a wide range of different colors and yarn textures. A number of blankets were even donated by people from all over the world. The goal of warming these babies has been reached a head of Christmas time which gives Ink Bean the ability to deliver these wonderful handmade creations even before the holiday season gets here.
“Over Thanksgiving weekend, I worked hard to make 9 blankets to finish the Warmth Project faster and with a wider number of blankets. I am proud to say I was able to do it and make some amazing looking blankets that any parent would be proud to place over their child.”
Each blanket is made with baby safe yarn in common colors such as white, blue and pink along with more unique colors such as reds, greens and also browns. Ink Bean didn't want to just make a single range of colors but instead wanted to provide parents with the best choice for their child.
The passion that Chimica Robinson holds for Ink Bean is also expressed in her love for writing. As a full time freelance writer she has always had a love for the written word. “Ink Bean is all about showing we care; crocheting and writing go hand in hand for this company. Both take time and both take passion. With both these tools this company can become something amazing, helpful and just plan lovely.”
Ink Bean works not only for premature babies but also abandoned and endangered animals. While the project for next year is still being determined most likely it will involve helping out animals throughout the year. The hope is to help those who need it and can't do it themselves. “I’m a huge lover of animals and as much as I wanted to make blankets for cats and dogs this year, the time wasn't there. Next year I will have enough time and enough resources to do just that and maybe even more.”
Now that The Warmth Project has reached its goal, the non-profit business owner, Chimica Robinson will be focusing on the writing part of the company. “There are so many things that are in the works now. I am excited to get back into the editing part of the company and work hard to bring some focus to some amazing writers as well.”
Ink Bean seems to be on the right track after a year of confusion and bad luck. Now the company has goals, projects and events that change the way people think of crocheting and writing. Chimica Robinson has worked hard to combine her two loves with the third love of helping others. Be on the lookout for a truly amazing business owner as the company grows and the goals grow with it.
