The best student cities in the world have been revealed in a recent survey.
Findings by the QS Intelligence Unit show which are the greatest student cities on the planet and London has come out on top in second place.
The research compared the best cities around the world in which to be a student in; all global cities analysed had two or more universities and a population of more than 250,000. It is the first ever Best Student Cities ranking by the leading higher education research authority which annually publishes the World University Rankings.
The study found that the top 10 student cities for 2012 are: Paris (France), London (UK), Boston (America), Melbourne (Australia), Vienna (Austria), Sydney (Australia), Zurich (Switzerland), Berlin (Germany), Dublin (Ireland), and Montreal (Canada).
The UK also scored further down the list of student hotspots too, with Manchester ranking in 35th place, Birmingham in 47th and Glasgow finishing in 50th position.
