"“integrating the Trx system into already existing liquid handling devices can save life science laboratories thousands of dollars. Additionally, in line with current trends it is a much more green option.""

AB Controls, Inc., the robotic arm integration specialists, introduce the new Trx system that delivers pipette tips to liquid handling devices. The Trx system is compatible with Biomek FX, NX, and Multimek by Bechman Coulter, EP3 by PerkinElmer, and Gemini by Tecan.

In modern life science laboratories, liquid handling devices are a critical component to daily processes. Current liquid handling equipment only performs a portion of the process and requires human intervention to deliver the disposable nested tips to the equipment. The Trx system allows for the delivery of up to 224 sets of 96 tips or 160 sets of 384 tips and is built using custom focus software. A video of the Trx system integrated with a Biomek FX can be viewed at the following link:

According to Mike Nariman, a Senior Systems Architect at AB Controls, “integrating the Trx system into already existing liquid handling devices can save life science laboratories thousands of dollars. Additionally, in line with current trends it is a much more green option.” The Trx system saves resources and space, as well as reduces wastes.
