First Choice Emergency Room, the largest operator of freestanding emergency rooms in the state of Texas, announced today it has been named one of the Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 fastest growing private companies for 2010.
The Inc. 500|5000 ranks privately-held American companies by their percentage revenue growth over the past three years. First Choice Emergency Room ranked #1,459 on the list, with annual revenue of $41.3 million and a 198% growth rate since 2006. The company ranked #108 on the magazine’s list of fast growing private healthcare companies.
Many of today’s most successful U.S. companies received their first national recognition when they appeared on the Inc. list. List alumni include companies such as Microsoft, Intuit, Oracle, Zappos, Patagonia, and Jamba Juice.

First Choice Emergency Room operates twelve freestanding emergency rooms across the state of Texas. The company has created an alternative to the traditional emergency room experience by taking the ER out of the hospital and placing it within the community. In addition to its recognition by Inc. Magazine, First Choice Emergency Room has been recognized five years in a row as one of the Top 100 fastest growing, privately held companies in the Dallas area by the SMU Cox Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship.
Inc. Magazine honored this year’s Inc. 500|5000 winners at an award ceremony on October 2 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington D.C.
