Boating industry insiders say the worst of the recession may be in their wake, with a recent firming of prices in retail boat sales suggesting less turbulent seas ahead. Much of the layout and content of RubRails-n-BiminiTops.com was drawn from the corporate website Tessilmare.com, but there are no dependencies: All web page source, scripting and content that was migrated had to be rewritten in order to be W3C-compliant, pass all seven tests of "Web 3.0 Readiness" and thereby maximize online visibility potentials. A search-friendly, Javascript-free CSS dropdown navigation menu provides access to the web pages, which make extensive use of jQuery animated gallery slideshows and illustrative lightbox image popups. Embeds for Boating Twitter posts and Tessilmare Videos in the secondary content panel of each page enrich user experience and reinforce product differentiation. The videos section looks similar to Tessilmare.com on the surface, but the underlying functionality is very different: The selection animation stops with any mouseover, and once selected the video is presented using Vimeo's new universal player. This means that these videos can be viewed not only using any major web browser (e.g. MSIE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari) but also on "flash-free" HTML5 user agents like the phenomenally popular Apple iPad.
