Google has made a radical change in the way in which the search behemoth is displaying results.

With release of Google Instant, Google has declared their supremacy as a technology leader in the search engine space that will drive even more consumers to shift loyalty toward Google instant. Essentially it means serving up a new unique query every time a word is types into Google search box. When you start to type in your search terms Google instantly displays results based on what you’ve typed into the search box, it produces suggestions and tries to finish off your search for you with grayed out text. It is already reported a drop in search market share for Yahoo and Bing. Shashi Seth, Yahoo's SVP of search and marketplaces, blames drop in search market share on Google Instant.
With Instant Google has turned search from a static HTML page into an AJAX application, just as they did with Google Maps and Gmail. It was design challenge which was relevant but not distracting. Behind the technology, Google has run through many design and infrastructure challenges.
Google believes that with Google Instant, people will be able to solve their problems faster and find answers in lesser and lesser time. It helps users by improving our UI to help you formulate queries more quickly
When asked Matt Cuts whether Google Instant will make SEO Irrelevant? He replied "Over time it might" However he turns negative when asked whether it will kill SEO.
Google Instant has blacklist several keywords. A reporter at Google Instant Press Conferance pointed out that her name did not generate real-time results. Google product manager Johanna Wright said "We care a lot about child safety and these kinds of issues, so we had to think a lot about auto-complete and how that works as you're getting the results,"
Google Instant has mixed reactions from users as well as search marketers.
