St. Augustine, FL - Pass Program South, a training program dedicated to helping medical students pass COMLEX and USMLE exams, recently launched its new website at www.PASSProgramSouth.com. Designed by AppSoft Web Design in Jacksonville Beach, the new website features comprehensive information about PASS Program South's offerings and an online interface that allows students to apply for and pay for course programs.
PASS Program South Founder and Director Dr. Hans P. Wolf, MD instructs medical students using his proprietary WolfPACC (Physician Achievement Concept Course) approach, which focuses on teaching students how to master - rather than memorize - the exhaustive and complex information that COMLEX (Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination) and USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) test. Students focus on understanding medicine through concepts rather than simply memorizing information.
Dr. Wolf's passion for enabling students to see the practice of medicine in a whole new way comes from a near-tragic personal experience, which he shares on PASS Program South's new website:
"It was not until my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma that I started to realize the medical community has so many physicians who lack the basic skills and knowledge to treat their patients. I watched as they merely followed a protocol, and when they were questioned, the response was always: 'That's the way we do things.' Because of this approach, my dad was initially misdiagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Our world came to a sudden stop when we heard this horrific diagnosis. My dad seemed to give up on life at the moment he understood the prognosis. As a physician, I had to intervene and make sure the right things were done. I could not just allow his physicians to simply follow an algorithm. Because of my intervention, I am proud to say that my dad is alive and well today. I intervened by showing his physicians that protocols are not always right. It is because of this passion and fire that I carry inside that I decided to set aside a career in surgery and utilize my skills and knowledge in academic medicine."
Today, Dr. Wolf's father, Hans Wolf, Sr. is PASS Program South's Director of Marketing.
In practice for nearly a decade, the PASS Program has helped medical students from across the U.S., the Caribbean and Europe achieve overwhelming success not only in passing their exams but in improving their ability to treat patients as they progress in their medical careers. Course programs last four to eight weeks and each student is guaranteed a minimum of two weekly one-on-one sessions weekly with a clinical instructors and two sessions with Dr. Wolf during the program. Residency housing is available at the nearby Stratford Mill, a new luxury apartment complex located in a gated St. Augustine community.
