The World Health Organization and EPA have identified Radon Gas as the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers. To address this epidemic, National Radon Awareness Week has been announced for the week of: October 17th – October 24th, 2010.
Local, state, and National health agencies are urging the media to write articles about this growing health concern. Radon is a problem in nearly 20% of the homes in many areas of the United States and claimed the lives of approximately 20,000 Americans in 2009.
