October 27 2010, Cardiff - Cloud computing has become a subject of increasing interest over the last few years but what exactly is "Cloud" and what does it mean for business both now and in the longer term?
Cardiff City Council and BT together with two Knowledge Transfer Networks (Digital Systems and Digital Communications) has organised a FREE half-day event on cloud computing.
The event will be hosted by BT at the BT CARDIFF International Data Centre, Ty Cynnal, Watkiss Way, Cardiff, CF11 0SW on November 16 from 12:30 to 17:00. Lunch will be provided.
The event will introduce practical aspects of cloud computing, including a ten-step process that will help businesses to adopt cloud computing, minimising risk and an introduction to G-Cloud - the Government's attempt to leverage the cloud to deliver improved public services. On show also will be best practices and lessons from a cloud-based platform and several case studies of cloud computing adoption within businesses.
An expert panel will be on hand to be quizzed about all aspects of cloud computing.
Whether provider or potential user of these emerging technologies and services, we would very much welcome your involvement and views and we believe that you could contribute greatly to the success of the event. At the same time, this provides you with the opportunity to voice your questions and opinions and to shape the future of Cloud computing to meet the needs of your business.
