The game's fundamental structure is more or less like most shooter fans are familiar with from previous Call of Duty games as well as the genre itself. A campaign mode where you play through the game historiedel and multiplayer where you battle against other players over the Internet.
This means that, for the assessment of the game's sake, it is okay to break it down into three parts. Single player and multiplayer portion is in contrast to each other and give two very different games emotions. The last part is the over-building gameplay or the game's Anatomy if you want. This spreads out over the whole experience, whether this might be one-or multiplayer.
Anatomy is often the most important thing in this game. If the mechanics, presentation and feeling the shooter does not give you enough, it does not help if you have had Charles Dickens to write the story and Michael Mann to direct it - it is not fun to play.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is a game that is set in the sixties, at the peak of the Cold War. It has on several occasions been talking about Vietnam was the central area of operations, but in practice you are as much in other places in a world that was characterized by uncertainty, the balance of terror and paranoia.
The game begins with you, as the U.S. special soldier Mason, find yourself chained to a forhørsrom. A distorted American voice asks you questions over the PA system. In this way you will be forced to remember back and tell things that have happened, and it is in practice that constitutes the game itself.
It's hard to tell anything specific about the story without revealing details, but it made me very pleasantly surprised. For the first time I feel that the story in a shooter with a hint of intelligence. It is intricate and contains several small, funny conspiracy theories based on real events. It feels in a way that the video game answer to Dan Brown and his books, which both continually hovers between fiction and fact.
