Dr. Rebecca Risk a Calgary Acupuncturist is announcing the move of her clinic to a brand new location in Calgary’s SW, Signal Hill Area. This new acupuncture clinic in Calgary boasts several practitioners ranging from Chinese Medical Doctors (Dr. Risk is a specialist in chronic disease treatment and diagnosis as well as a muscle injury recovery specialist) to massage therapists and a reflexologist.
Chinese medicine is one of the great medical systems of the world, with an unbroken tradition going back to the 3rd century BC. Yet throughout its history it has continually developed in response to changing clinical conditions, and has been sustained by research into every aspect of its use. This process continues today with the development of modern medical diagnostic techniques and knowledge.
Practitioners of Chinese medicine believe that by finding and treating imbalances in the body, one can cure the cause of the disease. Unlike Western medical tradition, Chinese medicine does not cover up symptoms by prescribing strong medications that have many side effects.
