It’s been a very exciting period for The Jewellery Channel and the Miss Great Britain competition. The Jewellery Channel has been heavily involved with Liz Fuller, the CEO behind Miss Great Britain, and after months of hard work and competition, the much awaited final of Miss Great Britain took place on Saturday 5th December.
Managing Director of The Jewellery Channel http://www.thejewellerychannel.tv, Sri Burugapalli, was among the judges who saw Amy Carrier take the title of Miss Great Britain. As a key sponsor of Miss Great Britain, The Jewellery Channel also created their own competition to invite participants to “Design a Crown” for the eventual winner.
Back in June, The Jewellery Channel opened an exclusive competition inviting all creative minds to contribute entries to the “Design-a-Crown” competition. The response was huge and The Jewellery Channel received a great response from the public before the deadline of August 17th 2010.
The brief for the Design a Crown was simple. Entrants had to be over 18 and the design had to have the British “Union Jack” flag incorporated within the design. After significant consideration by The Jewellery Channel judges http://www.thejewellerychannel.tv, Zoe Harding was chosen to be the winner. Zoe received an Iliana (18K) ring valued at £1,000 from The Jewellery Channel, tickets for 2 to the Miss Great Britain Finals in London and an invitation to assist in Crowning Miss Great Britain 2010.
In the opinion of the judges, Zoe’s design worked well to capitalise on the stunning gemstones available from The Jewellery Channel. Amy Carrier, Miss Great Britain 2010 looked resplendent in the crown made from beautiful Swarovski crystals.
