Google Inc. has updated its Chrome Web browser with an absolute iTunes-style app store on Tuesday. This new store coining the name as ‘Chrome Web Store’ has a large variety of items for sales, extending from different games, Web tools, news apps to other interesting features. These added elements can be easily incorporated with Chrome Browser, provided a simple update has been installed.
Announcing the news in a blogpost this Tuesday, Google also said, “The store will be featured prominently in Chrome, helping people discover great apps and developers reach millions of users around the world.” Also Google claimed that their new update has a little improvement which will make Chrome even faster.
The blog post went on publicizing its other plans to distribute some “pre-beta” notebook computers obviously running on the much awaited brand new Chrome operating system. These computers being handed out for the purpose of practical testing will be provided “to qualified users, developers, schools and businesses.” They’re also announced to be black in color and noticeably will have no branding, logos or stickers as yet.
The blog post also claims that according to their analysis, the users of Google Chrome Browsers have thankfully tripled only this year, from 40 million to 120 million users.
