Swansea, United Kingdom (17 December 2010) – Wolfestone, a multi-award winning, internationally reputable language translation service provider, are delighted to announce that company co-founder and director, Roy Allkin, has become the youngest person to ever be elected Chair of the Association of Translation Companies’ National Council.

The news serves as further indication of Wolfestone’s ever-increasing reputation amongst the biggest professional translation firms in Europe, as it comes just two years after the company became the youngest ever to be invited to sit on the ATC National Council. For a company director, particularly one as young as Roy Allkin, to be elected to Chair of the council in such a short space of time is a magnificent achievement for Wolfestone, as well as Mr. Allkin himself.

The Association of Translation Companies is the governing body for translation companies in the UK. All members are thoroughly vetted before gaining admission, and must adhere to a strict code of professional conduct upon joining.

As part of his role as Chair, Mr. Allkin recently enjoyed the honour of attending the London meeting of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies as the UK’s representative. He also had the distinction of chairing the ATC’s Annual General Meeting and Conference (Evolution of the Translation Industry – planning for success) in November, during which he presented the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to both departing Chair, Liz Robertson, and former long-serving Chair, John Lord.

“Roy’s election to Chair of the ATC National Council was an extremely proud moment for everyone at Wolfestone,” commented a spokesperson for Wolfestone. “Our language translation company has developed at an astonishing rate over the last two years, and having one of our directors representing the entire UK at the EUATC meeting is a sign that we are not slowing down. As our profile continues to grow we hope that more people will become aware of the high quality, value for money translation services we offer at Wolfestone.”
