Farah embarked on a train as the venue for the music launch of 'Tees Maar Khan', an action comedy which is set to hit the screens on 24th Dec, because the film features a major train heist and also as she wanted a truly different promo event . A train with five bogies was booked for the entire group. The train had posters of the film all over and even a red carpet inside to welcome everyone.
"In fact there was also another trained bunch of artists who sung like those people who frequent the trains and ask for alms while singing songs. They imitated 'Wallah Wallah' in their characteristic manner right through the journey. Also, snacks and cold drinks were served by boys who frequented from one bogie to another, just as it happens in real train journeys", said Farah.
Despite a delay of two hours, the train journey was full of entertainment with composers Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravijiani entertaining everyone with a live performance and then the star cast consisting of Akshay, dressed like his character in the film, and Katrina, greeted everyone by going from compartment to compartment. Even the actors seemed to be having a gala time!
Dressed in a peach pink short dress Katrina who was enjoying the experience to the hilt said, "I have always loved travelling in a train and it's nice to be doing that again. I think this a wonderful way of launching the music, different and fun.”
As the contingent embarked at the Lonavala station, they were welcomed a 4000-5000 strong crowd, who had gathered in anticipation to see their favorites, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. Cops had to be called in to control the crowd, as the celebrities were whisked off to another destination where the formal music launch took place. Farah Khan was accompanied by husband Shirish Kunder, music baron Bhushan Kumar, composer duo of Vishal & Shekhar as well as lyricist Anvita Dutt Gupta. Akshaye Khanna couldn't join the event as he was out of town.
