Whenever we hear the name Andrea Bocelli, our mind immediately draws the picture of a blind bearded Italian singer who is the regarded as the highest selling solo artist in the history of classical music. The 52 year old singer having lost his sight at the age of twelve is an inspirational personality in the musical world. Bocelli was on the US tour performed at the trademark venue of New York City, the Madison Square Garden. Andrea selected MSG to start his new tour titled “My Christmas” that is also the name of his latest double platinum Holiday album. Andrea, who has sold over two million copies in US was attended by thousands of his American fans.
Andrea’s “My Christmas” first shows was at the Prudential Center, Newark, NJ on Saturday, December 4th followed by December 8 show at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. He performed live in Los Angeles, CA at the Staples Center on December 10 and his final US stop was MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV on December 11. Andrea also performed at the tapping of the annual presentation of the Christmas in Washington show on December 12 at the National Building Museum. The capital concert also features stars such as Mariah Carey, Miranda Cosgrove, Annie Lennox, Maxwell and Matthew Morrison. The event is known for its attendance by the US President and First Lady and other Washington VIPs and it was premiered on Friday, December 17 at 8 pm
He backs to his homeland Italy on December 29 for a concert at the Treatro Verdi, Pisa. The Italian superhero celebrated the New Year night at Europe Square in Batumi, Georgia on December 31.
Andrea Bocelli’ first 2011 live act will be in Germany where singer has a huge fan following and where he performed 22 open air concerts and an in-house concert in 1997. He also received the "Best seller of the year" award for his album, Viaggio Italiano in Munich, Germany in the same year. He will be seen in action in Germany at the Philharmonie Munich on January 7, 2011, at the Philharmonie Berlin on January 9 and at the Laeisz Musikhalle Hamburg on January 11.
