The 40 hour Hazwoper training course provided by us will give you an in-depth knowledge which will keep you safe and add a boost to your career.
This online safety course will provide you with 40 hours of interactive training. We have designed this course especially for those workers whose jobs include voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations and the storage, treatment and disposal of hazardous materials and substances at Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Sites. We have included all the important topics from 29 CFR 1910.120 in this course. The course has been approved for a duration of 40 hours. There are absolutely no prerequisites for this course. The objectives of this course are as follows:
1.Understanding what OSHA is all about and what it does in regulating the safety for workers at work places.
2.Characterizing the work site to distinctly identify and eliminate the work hazards.
3.Familiarizing with substances, mixtures and compounds that contain chemical, flammable, explosive and radiological hazards.
4.Understanding the importance of personal protective equipments so that the exposure to hazards is limited.
5.Establishing a site control program that can reduce the risk of exposure for those workers who are employed in the hazardous work zone.
6.Identifying the existence of hazardous substances at the work place.
7.Preparing and understanding the material safety data sheets.
8.Implementing different procedures to treat workers in case of an emergency.
At the end of every lesson, a quiz has been included. The trainees are expected to clear these quizzes in order to proceed in the course. At the end of the course, a final exam has to be cleared. The pass rate of this exam is 70 per cent. If a trainee fails at the first attempt, additional three attempts will be granted at no extra costs.
