One such shirt on display through the website of The Anfield Shop was previously worn by Jamie Carragher. This central defender for Liverpool FC has two different shirts on display. Both shirts contain Carragher’s number 23 on the back of the shirt, but were worn during different matches. A red Adidas shirt with the number 23 on the back along with Carragher’s name was worn during the 2009-2010 season. This particular shirt was used by Carragher during a known game from the 2009-2010 Europa League Campaign. The website boasts another of Carragher’s Adidas shirts. This orange shirt was worn during the 2007-2008 Premier League Season.
Carragher shirts are not the only Liverpool FC shirts proudly displayed by The Anfield Shop. A well loved Steven Gerrard shirt is proudly framed. This particular shirt was worn in the 2009-2010 season and a captain’s armband accompanies the shirt. Gerrard’s number 8 is displayed in white lettering on an orange background.
Some Liverpool FC shirts on The Anfield Shop’s website are not only coveted because they have been worn, but some have additionally been signed by the player. One such shirt is from Jonjo Shelvey who represented England in many divisions. These include the U16, the U17, and the U19. This match-worn shirt which has been signed and displayed is from England U17.
The Anfield Shop boasts other match worn shirts besides those from Liverpool FC. One such shirt is from Spain’s Xabi Alonso. This number 14 midfielder plays for La Liga and the Spanish national team. Two shirts are on proud display through the website and one includes a grey Adidas shirt worn during a 2008-2009 Premier League Season. The other red shirt is from the 2006-2007 Premier League Season.
