The most important improvement to GrowFX in version 1.5.0 SP1 is Meta mesh, a new ground-breaking mesh builder for creating smooth transitions between trunks and branches. This builder makes it possible to create highly realistic plant and tree models that can be used in video games, design projects and artwork. Other enhancements include an ability to influence all parameters of UVW Mapping for the Cylinder mesh, a new direction modifier called Optimize Steps for producing more optimized models, and conversion of GrowFX objects to Editable Spline.
GrowFX is a plug-in for 3ds Max that allows the user to create broadleaf trees, conifers, palm trees, flowers, ivy, and many other vegetation compositions. Each parameter can be animated. For example, it is possible to create a wind animation or animation of a growing tree. The system allows the user to edit parameters using MAXScript.
GrowFX 1.5.0 SP1 is available immediately for $325 USD for a single-user license through the Exlevel online store (www.exlevel.com), and Exlevel resellers worldwide.
Until 1st February, GrowFX can be purchased with a special holiday discount, only for $260 USD.
GrowFX requires 3ds Max 9, 2008, 2009, 2011 (32/64-bits).
