Mplayrs LLC today announced the launch of Mplayrs.com, the core platform for the Mplayrs Network, a groundbreaking online gaming service. Mplayrs enables gamers to discover content, games and mods in addition to launching multiplayer dedicated servers. Today Mplayrs is unveiling the "Play", "Shop" and dedicated server service and will continue to roll out the additional navigation sections; Read, Watch and Download throughout the rest of the year. Premium services such as game server hosting are purchased using Mplayrs Credits, a virtual currency for hardcore gamers that will be integrated into community websites enabling them to launch their own premium services and advertising free offerings.
The revolutionary dedicated server product is free to everyone for a 24 hour trial period after which time they can purchase a 24 hour day pass or a monthly subscription for a set number of player and voice slots. The service allows gamers to use their player slots to create servers for different games and mods while keeping these configurations stored for easy starting and stopping of servers. No longer are gamers tied to servers for one game client, voice client or location, they can now swap these out on the fly.

"You can launch a Gary's Mod Server on the west coast in the afternoon and shut it down that night to launch a Call of Duty server on the east coast for team or clan practice. There are obvious benefits to this and it's achieved at a price point in line with leading game server hosting services. Developers also stand to benefit from this service through the Game Partner Program. This program allows games and mods working with Mplayrs to generate revenue from their game servers. There's no exclusivity needed and it's a new revenue stream that can help these teams improve on their current and future games. Mplayrs will announce its first partner, an incredibly popular mod for the Source Engine, later this month.
