The Kingfisher calendar 2011 was launched amidst much fanfare in a super-glam event by Dabangg Salman Khan over the weekend. Salman expressed his allegiance and liking for Vijay Mallya for whom he is doing the honors for the second time. Salman reiterated that he would always be there for the Mallyas, whenever the need be.
The Kingfisher calendar has been shot by renowned fashion photographer Atul Kasbekar at Le-touessork and other exotic locations in Mauritius. It is for the second time that the calendar has been shot on the beautiful island. But this time the calendar was shot across different locations in the country including the Casela Nature Park, where the shoot took place with wild animals like cheetahs, lions and zebras. A part of the shoot also took place in Chamarel, which is an area of volcanic earth. So with the sizzling models posing in equally fascinating foreign locales, the new Kingfisher calendar for 2011, will be worth the grab!!
The 2011 edition of the calendar features six top swimsuit models. But it is Angela Johnson, the winner of the Kingfisher talent hunt who is outstanding and clearly outshines the other models. Owner of Kingfisher Airlines, Siddharth Mallya who was accompanied with Bollywood hottie Deepika Padukone, praised all the models for their distinctive qualities. But he was also quick to add that it was Angela Johnson who personified all that Kingfisher stands for, so she undoubtedly was ‘The Kingfisher Girl’!!!
