San Antonio, TX—A tree ordinance was posted mid-last year after research had been done regarding San Antonio’s tree canopies. The percentage was evidently low for a city of its size, in comparison to other cities in the south and southwest regions of the country.
For this reason, Premiere Tree Services of San Antonio, encourages residents and businesses alike, to add more trees to their properties. If they have enough space for even one more tree on their land, they are encouraged to have one planted. The city of San Antonio needs to be greener; trees and other vegetation can help the overall appearance of the city. According to some officials, the city needs to have at least 500,000 more trees planted.
Planting a new tree in a yard or around the community is very rewarding for all and can increase the tree canopy percentage that many are concerned about. This is something that can obviously do more good than harm, as long as these trees are properly maintained from when they are planted.
