LTC Peter Clark’s book Staff Monkeys, is a humorous chronological journal about Colonel Clark’s various and unusual assignments during his deployment to the Middle East from April, 2005 through September 2009 while living and working in third world countries. Colonel Clark says about his book, "Although it’s a journal, it’s not a typical military war journal. It’s not a book about heroics but a sarcastic, sometimes irreverent, look at day-to-day life in the military in various combat zones from the view point of a middle-aged stockbroker enjoying a government paid midlife adventure."
