February 23rd 2011 - Eleven universities in the North West region are coming together in Manchester on March 9 to show the research topics they are working on.
This FREE event is targeted at technology businesses interested in finding out what ICT research is being carried out on their own doorstep. Running from 17:30 to 20:00, the event will consist of an exhibition where the eleven universities will showcase their research and will be available to talk to visitors. In addition, there will be presentations by various bodies which can provide cash to support university/business collaborations.
The event, which is hosted by the Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network and the North West Universities Association, will take place in the The Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3WS.
In addition to the exhibition and talks about funding, there will be keynote presentations from Dr Mike Short (O2 Group), Lars Lindstedt (Microsoft) and Adrian Woolard (BBC).
Drinks and Canapes will be served.
The universities exhibiting are: The University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, Infolab21 at Lancaster University, University of Bolton, University of Chester, University of Cumbria, Edge Hill University, Liverpool John Moores University, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Central Lancashire, The University of Salford Digital Cluster.
