You need to give a fledgling business as many advantages as possible and debt in the background certainly doesn't fall into this category. Most businesses will not go into profit for a year or two so you should have plenty of cash available to make it through those early months. So before you set up a new business, you really should make sure you have cleared your debts.
Always be serious about your business and hire the right people that you require. If the reason you are hiring people is because they are your friend or a member of your family then your business is not likely to be successful.
If you think that owning your own business means that you don't have to work as hard as you would with a boss you are setting yourself up for failure. Running a business is hard work and you will need to put a lot of hours into it. Your business will never be a success if you run it half heartedly.
