It is deployed for the purpose of personnel tracking, vehicle tracking or driver identification. This compact key fob tag is an ideal tool for safety applications in dangerous industrial and construction environments like mining where it can be used both as a tracking device and as a distress-signaling device in case of emergency situations.
This 433 MHz compact active key fob RFID tag, model 124014, features configurable settings on Site/Vendor ID, tag ID and transmission repetition interval and transmits tag data including Customer Site Code (CSC), tag ID, tag age counter value and button alarm status. It can operate in silent mode with transmission only occurring upon the press of the button. Each button press transaction will either be logged when it is out of range or be reported immediately when it is within the read range. This active key fob RFID tag is encapsulated within a molded plastic case, which is ultrasonically sealed in order to protect against adverse environmental conditions. In addition, it is powered by a built-in battery and has an estimated life span of five years at a transmission time interval of approximately 1.5 seconds.
