The last weekend broke out some great news for the American country singer Jason Aldean when his latest platinum-certified album “My Kinda Party” reached number one at the Billboard country albums chart. The most interesting part of the news is that Jason got this feat after defeating the Taylor Swift’s latest album Speak Now that held the top position for nearly 15 weeks. The last week sales of both artists show that My Kinda Party sold 26,875 copies and Speak Now managed to sell 26,879 while overall Speak Now sold 3,136,084 records and My Kinda Party sold 818,770 copies since their respective date of release. My Kinda Party is the Aldean’s fourth studio album released on November 2, 20101.
The 33 year old singer earlier in Feb has also been nominated for 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Award for under Top Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year categories and its Aldean’s first time nomination as an entertainer. He will be competing against Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban for entertainer of the year award. The ACMs award ceremony will go live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, 2011.
Jason who has given hits singles like "Why", "She's Country" is also a performer at the CMA Music Festival that will be held for four days, Thursday-Sunday, June 9-12, 2011 and the most famous country music artist has also been added to the Country Thunder USA festival line up. The festival will be held from April 7 through April 10, 2011 at Canyon Moon Ranch, a place just outside Florence. Jason Aldean show at Country Thunder has been scheduled on April 8.
Jason will be performing a series of concerts for the next coming months at venues including Knoxville, Columbus, Charlottesville, Toledo and Paso Robles among others. He will back to his home Nashville, TN for a concert on June 9 at the LP Field while his September 17 is reserved for a show at the Blossom Music Center, Ohio.
Jason, on January 21, 2011 kicked of his "My Kinda Party Tour" will continue through May 2011 with opening acts by Eric Church and the JaneDear Girls. My Kinda Party is Jason’s fourth studio album and his intimate duet "Don't You Wanna Stay" with Kelly Clarkson was very well received and became a smash hit. Its Jason’s overall second duet.
