* Because most cities have a train station in the heart of them, if you are going to the city, you will be right where you want to be when you get off. The city can be a terrible place to find a parking space so taking the train will mean you can avoid this.
* If you are not driving yourself, then you don't have to worry about whether or not you have a couple of alcoholic drinks when you are out and about.
