Tuppence Magazine entertainment news and reviews has been running it’s writing competition for approximately 1 year now, but it has finally awarded its second writing competition winner for news & review submissions to the website. Winning in the February competition, Sinead Fitzgibbon took the prize for her review of Stella Gibbons’ Cold Comfort Farm.
The writing competition gives readers of Tuppence Magazine the opportunity to see their own interests and opinions published online, providing valuable writing experience. It is also a chance to celebrate the best of the best news, reviews and opinion pieces submitted to Tuppence. As well as the class of being named writing competition winner, there’s also a bumper prize pack that is put together out of our own news, reviews and promotions.
Sinead Fitzgibbon, for example, won a semi leaved copy of Alone in Berlin, Brandon Flowers’ Flamingo, Rob Sheffield’s Love is a Mix Tape, Brian Eno’s Small Craft on a Milk Sea, Samantha Harvey’s The Wilderness, Liam Galagher’s Beady Eye, Different Gear, Still Speeding and Mike Leigh’s Another Year DVD.
All readers have to do to enter the next round of the competition is to submit a review, news or opinion piece to be in with a shout to win. If you have read a good book, written any album reviews, been to a play, seen a movie, watched something on the television, played a new computer game, know of any great music news, have been to an art exhibition, tried a new bar or bought something recently and want to write about it then get typing.
As usual, if a winner is not awarded, the prize pack will roll over and be topped up with other prizes each month.
