Tovatech is now shipping the Elmasonic E series ultrasonic cleaners featuring a unique microprocessor-controlled digital Sweep function to guarantee even distribution of cavitation action throughout the ultrasonic bath regardless of the size of the load.
As explained by Tovatech director Dr. Rachel Kohn the E-series’ microprocessor-controlled generator sends out a signal and self-adjusts to the solution fill and load in the bath. “Only digital Sweep guarantees evenly distributed cleaning power throughout the bath for all loads, both large and small,” she says. “Cleaning glass, metal, electronics or plastic surfaces is optimized with this technology.”
In Sweep mode, the ultrasonic frequency is shifted continuously to ensure that cavitation occurs uniformly throughout the tank. “Most ultrasonic cleaners use analog generators to simulate Sweep mode by oscillating the electrical resistance to alter the frequency,” Dr. Kohn says. “Analog systems are factory-set to an average bath load. But in actual use the tank fill and load vary. This results in an inconsistent sweep effect leading in turn to inconsistent cleaning.”
The Elmasonic E industrial ultrasonic cleaner utilizes ceramic heating elements. Turning a knob controls temperature settings between 30° and 80°C (86 and 176°F). The heating elements are dry-run proof, which protects the unit from heat damage. Cleaning periods can be set from 5 to 30 minutes, or run continuously but with an automatic safety shut-off after 12 hours.
Featuring rugged stainless steel tanks in 8 sizes from 1.75 to 28 liters (0.5 to 7.3 gallons) in capacity, intuitive controls and extremely quiet operation, the Elmasonic E line is attractively designed and manufactured to high quality standards. Accessories include stainless steel holder baskets with plastic-coated handles to minimize noise and ease handling when warm, fine mesh immersion baskets for small parts, and various supports for flasks and beakers. Tovatech distributes the full Elma ultrasonic cleaning equipment product line which includes industrial consoles with capacities up to 300 liters (80 gallons).
