DUBAI (April, 2011) - US President Barack Obama has extended his greetings to representatives of US companies from around the world participating in this year’s edition of Automechanika Middle East. The trade exhibition which is organised by Epoc Messe Frankfurt runs from June 7th to 9th at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“By opening new markets and promoting trade, we are creating new sales channels for US products and services. The business relationships developed at this trade show will help increase economic growth and create jobs throughout the United States,” said the American president in a letter*.
Mr. Obama added, “I salute each of you for your commitment to excellence. Cooperation within the international business community gives all of us confidence for a bright economic future.”
He added that Automechanika Middle East was selected by the US Department of Commerce as part of the US Commercial Service’s Trade Fair Certification Programme. “This prominent trade exhibition is an excellent venue for developing new business. US Commercial Service staff are here working diligently to connect US companies with international buyers-providing leads, trade counseling and market research.”
Through certification, the US Commercial Service recognises the capability and exhibition experience of Epoc Messe Frankfurt to organise a world class pavilion for US exhibitors to showcase products and services for the automotive aftermarket industry. The US pavilion serves as an excellent venue for US companies to establish and expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, evaluate competitors, and to work with US commercial service trade specialists to identify potential buyers and partners.
Some of the US exhibitors already confirmed for the 2011 edition of Automechanika Middle East include: Firestone Industrial Products, Treatment Products Ltd, Dorian Drake and Keystone. Last year’s event featured 18 US exhibi-tors and this is expected to increase by about 44 percent, to a minimum of 26 exhibitors for the upcoming show in June.
US exhibitor Jeff A. Victor, Vice President, Treatment Products Ltd, said: “This market is an important part of our strategy for growth, and our products have gained a great following over the years. Middle East consumers have come to expect and demand the type of quality products that come from US manufacturers, and we are proud to have built a great consumer base in countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and others. Exhibiting at Au-tomechanika Middle East is an important part of our strategy for introducing our products to new customers, and strengthening our relationships with our existing customers.”
Automechanika Middle East is the largest auto aftermarket exhibition in the Middle East. The event which runs from June 7th to 9th at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will also feature leading players within the automotive sport, workshop equipment, tyres & batteries, parts & systems, repair & maintence and accessories & tuning industries worldwide.
