April 01, 2011 | Palo Alto, California: MetricStream Inc., the market leader in Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, announced today that Dr John Mitchell, Managing Director, LHS Business Control, will join Ramesh Srinivasan, Solutions Manager, MetricStream in a webinar entitled ‘How to Enable Risk-based IT Audit Programs.’
About the webinar
IT Risk profiles are no longer what they used to be. Networks are becoming more complex, while phenomena such as Cloud computing, social networking and virtualization are fast dissolving the network boundary, bringing in new security risks and magnifying the impact of older ones. Today, risks such as fraud, cyber theft and even natural disasters have the potential to paralyze businesses and markets.
In response, organizations are making every effort to monitor and mitigate IT risks and controls through regular Audits. Yet business networks are vast and intricate; risks are ever-increasing and control management is complex. In the face of these challenges, a risk-based approach to IT audits yields better results, maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. It helps organizations prioritize audits by focusing on those risks and controls that have the most impact on the organization.
The webinar will highlight how to establish a comprehensive risk-based IT audit plan that covers regulatory compliance risks, business information risks, IT governance risks and more. Speakers will provide perspectives on:
• What a risk-based IT Audit program is and why it is critical for an organization
• How to implement a risk based approach
• How to monitor Audit and controls continuously to ensure consistency
• How a risk based IT Audit framework can improve business performance
