April 13th 2011 - Europe’s largest content forum for data centres will host more than 70 international expert speakers at this year’s event which takes place in Nice 5-6 May. A highly flexible programme has been introduced to this year’s event, with new formats consisting of debates, panels, workshops, training and keynotes and an extensive programme of topics spread across three theatres. The content focus includes: data centre and cloud technologies – the latest in efficiency, operation, design and management; business insight – colocation models, investment, and leadership; and strategy – competitive solutions, site location opportunities and future vision.

Cloud features strongly throughout the event, demonstrating the changing model for data centre services and infrastructure. Leaders of service providers and major IT user organisations will discuss the next stage of service evolution, as deployment of cloud services brings true innovation to the data centre.

The leadership panel includes four of the top data centre companies in Europe – TelecityGroup, eShelter Services GmbH, Colt Data Centre Services and Global Switch - who will debate third party data centre demand drivers and the way in which they are leading to fundamental changes in the location, specification, total cost of ownership and benefits of third party data centres. The panel will also discuss modular build and vendor co-operation and whether these factors are leading to the commoditization of the sector.

Keynotes will be given by Paul Francois Cattier, Global Vice President Data Center, Schneider Electric,
KfirGodrich, Vice President and Chief Technologist for HP Technology Services and Mark DiStefano, CEO of NOVA.
“BroadGroup has identified close to 20million ft2 of third party data centre space in 17 Western Europe markets (excluding internal usage and outsourcing services),” commented Steve Wallage, managing director of BroadGroup Consulting. “The way in which this category will grow over the next five years or more, is reflected in the content and outstanding speaker academy for this European event which is critical for anyone using data centres to attend.”

In all more than 70 international speakers will address the event from a variety of disciplines spanning the ever growing data centre sector.

BroadGroup is a consulting and event organiser specialising in the Telecoms and datacentres sectors.
