Moving on, in the Investment Programs, the Global Investor is the popular. It requires foreign investors to invest at least S$1 million in a new business start up or expansion of a business, or S$1.5 million in a program geared towards the economic development.
“Or they could invest S$2 million in a property and specialized venture capital fund, foundation, or a trust focusing on economic development,” Asiabiz adds, “Included in the qualifications are the investor’s entrepreneurial background and a business proposal or investment plan.
Meanwhile, in a Financial Investor scheme, the applicant shall have two options in investment.
Says Asiabiz: “They can invest a minimum amount of S$5 million of assets in a financial institution governed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Or, they can invest the same amount in 3 financial assets of not less than S$3 million and one Sentosa Cove Bungalow consisting of either a land only or land and building.
