New York, NY, May 12, 2011 - Searching for a new job in a tough economy is never easy. Currently, 6.2 million Americans have been unemployed for more than 6 months according to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics March 2011. In addition, the unemployed face a new challenge in finding a job; there has been a recent increase of job postings that discourage jobseekers from applying if they have been out of work for six months or longer.
A new career management portal, called CareerConnected.com helps jobseekers to shorten their job transition by combing the power of online professional networking portal and an expansive suite of career tools that help users to self-direct their jobs search. This portal also contains an embedded job transition tool called CareerWizPro.
CareerWizPro creates an online checklist of things to do that guides users through an al-la-carte menu of job search tool including resume distribution and employer directories.

Career directory to enhance job search coverage for members
CareerConnected.com added two job boards. One job boards acts as a job aggregator that scrapes jobs from major job sites and centralizes the online application to one dedicated web page. Members can access many of the jobs they seek from multiple job boards in one job board today. The second job board provides exclusive access to job listings through their network of partners.
While no online employment portal guarantees a job, this portal asserts that membership with them will create a more holistic approach that will result in more productive outcomes better quality jobs, and a greater sense of personal satisfaction.
