McDowell County, W.V. (May 19, 2011) – McDowell County in West Virginia has selected Orlando-based eSchool Solutions to provide SmartFindExpress, a program which manages absentee teachers.
SmartFindExpress allows McDowell school district to set parameters that control how guest teachers are selected for jobs - using criteria such as skill sets, location and contract guidelines. This ensures the most qualified substitutes are placed in classrooms.
Previously, administrators and principals manually managed the absentee needs of the district’s teachers. SmartFindExpress will save the district time, money, and help fight lost-learning days for students.
“SmartFindExpress will free up valuable time, resources, and funds for McDowell County,” said Lorri Glover, SmartFindExpress product manager for eSchool Solutions. “This will ensure the district’s 4,200 students will stick to their designated lesson plans, even when a teacher is absent.”
McDowell County will begin onsite training for SmartFindExpress this summer. This new software system automates substitute management, increases fill rates with qualified subs, expands the substitute pool and reduces lost learning days.
