Harrisburg, PA, May 23, 2011 - Project managers from across the Commonwealth will gather to learn five conversations leaders should have that will impact an organization’s ability to execute on high-stake projects and initiatives during PM Partners’, a free semi-structured professional development program that leverages the knowledge and experience of colleagues in project management through peer-to-peer learning.
The free event has the theme of Organizational Silence. It is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m., June 24 at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, which is located at 326 Market Street in Harrisburg.
"Senior executives frequently bet their companies or organizations on high-stakes efforts like major product releases, strategic IT projects, or organizational restructurings. And these bets rarely pay off as anticipated. We’re devoting this session to the five crucial conversations leaders should have to significantly increase their organization’s ability to execute on high-stake projects and initiatives," says Albert Sarvis, Director of Project Management Master of Science program at Harrisburg University.
Join other project managers from government and the private sector in facilitated small group discussions. Attendees can earn 2.5 PMI PDUs.
PM Partners meets quarterly to explore advanced PM topics using case studies to explore real life situations and discover solutions to challenging problems. Pick up best practices and lessons learned through these engaging and insightful conversations with other project management experts.
PM Partners is put forth in collaboration between Harrisburg University, the Keystone Chapter of PMI® and The Pennsylvania Office of Administration.
The event is free but an RSVP is required. RSVP on line at http://www.harrisburgu.edu/academics/professional/rsvp.php or via email at CONNECT@HarrisburgU.edu
