A number of dishonest credit brokers who charge upfront fees for loans they have no intention of arranging have been closed down.
Following a “super-complaint” from the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has taken action to stop the practise and force companies to refund fees if the loan is not approved.
Unscrupulous loan companies are meaning that more and more people are struggling to get out of debt and gaining even higher levels of debts.
