small bowel screening procedures. Small intestine pathologies have always been difficult to diagnose,

It is the market leader in the flexible endoscopes category, in which it holds a 67% market share. It is also the second largest company in the rigid endoscopes category, following Karl Storz GmbH. Despite the dominance of Given Imaging, Olympus is a key market player in the capsule endoscope systems category.
