Heat exchangers are devices used to transfer thermal energy from one medium to another. They play a

2000 to 6000) of long alloy tubes inside. Shell and tube heat exchangers are generally used for high
pressure applications. Shell and tube heat exchangers are used in steam generators, condensers and
moderator circuits in a nuclear power plant.
