Harrisburg, PA, July 15, 2011 -- Have an interest in becoming a teacher? Learn more about the Drexel University School of Education and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology teacher certification program for individuals who have earned their undergraduate degree and now have an interest in teaching at the middle or high school levels during an Open House event scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Room 1252 at HU.
Offered at Harrisburg University's state-of-the-art Academic Center, the Post-Baccalaureate Secondary Teacher Certification is designed for individuals seeking to meet requirements leading to eligibility for PA Instructional I Certification.
Students choose from five course-specific content areas that include:
Mathematics
Biology
Physics
Chemistry
General Science
Upon successful completion, students have the option of applying the 33 earned graduate core pedagogy credits to Drexel’s Master of Science in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum, a graduate program offered online or on Drexel’s campus in Philadelphia.
