Frontier are delighted to announce their latest volunteering adventure: Fiji Beach Conservation Proj
Frontier is giving you the chance to volunteer in the beautiful country of Fiji with our latest project, Fiji Beach Conservation Project.

Helping preserve the local marine environment, you will be surveying mangroves and documenting coastal bird and reptile populations. You will be given the opportunity to contribute to the invaluable conservation work, where Frontier staff are studying the impact of artisanal fishing on coral reefs as well as reporting the effects of global warming on marine life. Volunteers will also be able to get involved in local community work, giving talks to local communities on environmental educational days.
Announcing the new Fiji project Jo Pollett, Frontier’s Fiji Volunteer Coordinator, stated “The combination of supporting important conservation work whilst working in a beach destination is a fantastic opportunity for any of our future volunteers. This Frontier project allows participants to really take part in the local Fiji life whilst living in a stunning, exotic location”.
As well as the beach conservation work, Frontier volunteers will help with the scientific data entry and daily camp maintenance, taking turns to cook, tidy and clean the camp, clean and oil the compressor, rinse dive kit, collect firewood, prime hurricane lamps, collect and treat water, and help with a wide variety of other essential camp duties.
If you are interested in hearing more about this new, exciting project simply contact the Frontier travel advisers on 020 7613 2422.
