Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has launched its embedded UHF reader module which offers a combination of high performance and compact footprint. It is specifically designed for applications that have requirements for multiple tags and protocols, such as inventory management, asset tracking, patron management and personnel tracking. The embedded reader is suitable for use in handheld/mobile readers, doorway readers, printers/encoders, and smart-cabinets/shelves.
This compact embedded UHF reader module, model 716003, operates at a frequency range of 860 to 960 MHz. It provides reliable reads through anti-collision allowing up to 50 tags to be read in a single read operation and boasts a long read distance of up to 5 m. This embedded UHF reader module also features ease of operation, simple integration through its included API, investment protection through field upgradable software and performance optimization via its 10 to 30 dBm power control and noise reduction technology. In addition, it has a variety of host interfaces including 9.6 to 115.2 kbps UART (TTL), USB and SPI & I2C.
