Alexandria, VA -- August 27, 2011 -- Tyree Apps LLC has released Massage Therapist Notebook 2.0, an update to their iPad application for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers. The update adds support for TextExpander (a typing shortcut tool); the ability to export data as a PDF document; and additional icons for marking points on a client's body. The update also includes UI enhancements and bug fixes.
With the Massage Therapist Notebook a massage practitioner can track all clients and sessions. Using a combination of colorful markers on a human silhouette and text notes a therapist can quickly record information about issues a client reports and items discovered during a session. The therapist can also apply notes to a future session to be reminded of questions or issues to discuss with the client.
The new PDF export feature enables a therapist to produce a document for forwarding to an insurance company or general practitioner. Additionally, any notes from a session can be sent via email which help to maintain communication with a client between sessions.

Track All Clients
Massage Therapist Notebook integrates with the Address book on the iPad so that contacts in the address book can be added as clients. Any clients created in the application will also be saved to the Address Book. Changes made to the client information are synchronized between the two apps.
Track a Client's Sessions
Sessions in the Massage Therapist Notebook can be made in the past or in the future. A Therapist can make a new Session when the client books an appointment and add notes about what the client wants to see or what the next steps in a therapy regimen are going to be. The Massage Therapist Notebook can flip through all of the sessions for a particular client quickly so a Therapist can spot trouble spots and trends.
Record The Details
Using the Massage Therapist Notebook to record a client?s preferred room temperature, pressure, and trouble areas helps the practitioner to connect with a client and to ensure that even the tiniest details get remembered. Additionally, the practitioner can mark trouble spots or pain points using multi colored stones. Notes can be added for each stone, each session or each client or at all three levels.
Using the new TextExpander integration, a practitioner can set up a series of macro keystrokes that let them create detailed narratives along with any coding or specialized vocabulary required.
Create Reports
A session report can be generated as a PDF document and emailed to an Insurance provider or other practitioner. Additionally, individual notes can be sent as email which is helpful to remind a client about any prescribed exercises or home treatments between sessions.
Adaptable to Any Style
The twelve stone markers have no pre-determined meaning. Notes can be recorded at the client, session or stone level or all three. The TextExpander integration lets a Therapist use whatever vocabulary or coding is needed in their area.
Specifications
Massage Therapist Notebook 2.0 can be purchased and downloaded from the iTunes App Store and requires an iPad running iOS 3.2 or later. The application has been translated into English, French, German and Japanese.
