Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has launched this low frequency RFID reader module designed to be a direct replacement for magnetic stripe reader modules to convert existing applications and hardware to RFID technology.
This RFID reader module, model 711001, operates at a frequency of 125 kHz and reads only EM compatible transponders at a distance of up to 80mm under ideal conditions.
With the characteristics of low power consumption and a built-in antenna, this module allows existing installations to retain most of their hardware infrastructure and change to more secure RFID technology.
Encapsulated within an ABS case, it allows robust operation. It provides MSR, ABA and Track 2 interfaces for communication with computers. In addition, this LF RFID reader module has passed CE and FCC technical certification.
Moreover, it has a minimal power requirement of only 5 V DC, 55 mA and several frequencies and RFID coding options are available.
This low frequency RFID reader module belongs to GAO's family of RFID Embedded Modules. This line of RFID embedded modules are easy to integrate into many LF/HF RFID applications.
