There were no laws against bad services of car rental companies even when complaints of fraud and deceit were flooding up. Clients often complain about rates that were not competitive. There was no easy way to compare prices before renting cars which gave car hire companies a monopoly to charge as per their wish. There was no option rather to pay whatever has been charged. Client felt like mere captives and victims to car renter's horrible services.
A major threat to customers renting cars was unrepaired, broken and defective cars that were offered to them. It was an issue that received attention this year and became a major focus. A court case in California was filed against a car rental service and grew into a national initiative, supported by a cross-section of consumer advocacy groups; finally a bill was passed to ensure safety of millions of people who rented cars.
Elimination of corrupt practices and unreasonable price hikes was finally controlled as the global recession approached. Experts predicted a revival in demand for air travel, which in return stimulated growth of car hires. Increase in number of passengers traveling for business purpose meant more clients but more aware clients were focused on what they wanted in their car rental services. Automatically profit minimization and sales maximization now became the ruling factor to decide the survival of car rental companies in the market.
On the other hand raised fuel prices and the corresponding services genuinely increased prices of these services. Owners of local car rental services were forced in a position to lose; as access to fuel became costly to remotely situated companies. In-depth industry market said the industry's future was suspicious.
The only way for hoodwink car rental companies to survive was to improve their services; they were facing regulatory threats as well as market threats. Any fraud against law could have got car renters behind the bars and could have eliminated them from the market. The entire autonoleggio (car rental) industry dealing in noleggio auto (renting car) was hence forced to change the way it worked across the world.Consequently today we have world class car rental services in collaboration with several national and international car rental companies to offer top services in combination and with stable price rate which are regulated with mutual consent of companies are under the control of clients creating an ideal scenario where demand controls supply and not vice-versa.
